Establishing a good foundation with proper oral hygiene, frequent visits, and any treatments as needed will help form your children’s oral health for years to come.

What type of treatments do you provide for children?

The most important treatment we provide for our young patients, are their regular dental exams. On top of this, we’re also able to provide restorative treatments, should they be necessary. These could be fillings, fissures sealants, or fluoride treatments. With frequent check-ups, our team will also be able to keep an eye on whether any orthodontic treatments might be necessary.

How often should children visit the dentist?

We recommend children visit the dentist once or twice a year.

When should I first bring my child to the dentist?

Children should first visit the dentist when their first tooth erupts. We even recommend parents bring them in with them to their own appointments, to help children acclimatise to the practice and to help prevent any anxiety or phobias from developing.

What should I be doing at home to aid my child’s oral health?

The most important thing to do is to establish a healthy, easy-to-follow routine. Children should brush their teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste – starting with a pea-sized amount when they are younger. Parents can help by being positive and enthusiastic about teeth brushing, helping children to see that it’s an important part of their day.
